thats totally right! its so obvious, that its easy to miss. but i was a twilight hater too, until i found out about their mythology. which is pretty interesting. the lovey dovey stuff is kind of psychotic and masochistic though. scary.
ReplyDeleteYeah, vampires and werewolves are nothing new. If people just took this series at face value, then I wouldn't have posted anything about it. But people (especially girls my age) have taken this to an extreme that is if not frightening then at least sad. I have a friend who is an original Twilight fan. The book was copyrighted in September, she got the book in October. Her book was 'hot off the press' and she said it was the dream of finding "The One" that she likes about the series. She loves vampires, but is intelligent enough to know what kind of literary tradition Edward belongs to.
ReplyDeleteDo you know where the idea of vampires originated from?
The thing is for many morons in this country, its a fantasy. A lot of girls fantasize about being with a vampire and what not.
ReplyDeleteI am going to make my own movie, called Low Tide. It will be about mermaids instead of vampires. The guy wants to be with this girl, but everytime they want to get intimate, her legs become fins. So it makes it difficult for them to be together.
That would be my movie. I would make your brother the star. Why on earth would I do this? I would laugh my ass off if he couldn't score with a girl, because her legs kept becoming fins. LMFAO!
That's a great idea! LOL
